WOW turtle mount

WOW turtle mount

Finally, when you finished all the steps, sit by the pool side, and wait for your luck to come …..

You should know that, you have to wait for long. It’s not going to be easy. Like I have told you before, everything Blizzard has told us about this mount tells us that it’s very, very rare, and that the drop rate is very, very low. Blizzard has a habit of raising drop rates later on once a really rare mount has been out for a while (note that’s drop mounts, not achievement mounts — those they usually remove from the game completely), so eventually we’re guessing it’ll be easier to get. But it’s brand new and it’s designed to be hard to get, so if you really are going all out trying to get it, prepare to be fishing for a while.

Add oil, my WoW children XD

Here the turtle comes ….

November 23rd, 2009

Finally, when you are done with numerous practices, and believing that you are an expert in fishing, you can proceed to the following step:

Fishing is boring, that’s why you got to learn / watch something else to keep your attention. It’s designed to be boring (probably because the real thing is boring, too). You’ll have much less chance of going insane while doing all the fishing if you distract yourself a little bit — turn on a movie, the ballgame, or a podcast or two (ahem) in the background. I like to tweak my UI while I fish as well — turn your ingame music off, and everything but sound effects down while turning your overall volume up. That’ll make sure you hear the splash you need to click, while leaving the rest of the background sound out of it.

Bad news to you guys, that the mount is only found in Northrend pools, so you won’t be able to fish in the pools of, say, Terrokar, and try to farm Mr. Pinchy and the Sea Turtle at the same time (though wouldn’t that be great?!). But that doesn’t mean that there aren’t valuable things to fish up while farming the mount — take a look on the AH and see what kinds of fish (and food, if you have leveled cooking) are selling, and then do your grinding on that stuff. Given that the mount can come from anywhere in Northrend, you have lots of different places to fish from, so check with your guild, too, and see what’s needed, and then do your fishing there.

Learn, then Practice :)

A very simple questions. What you should do after learning fishing?

Get your fish spot!

If you follow El’s guide, you’ll figure this out along the line, but even if you’ve already leveled fishing, you’ll definitely want to make sure you’ve got the Find Fish ability, obtained from the Weather-Beaten Journal, which you get from — you guessed it — fishing. This will help you find fish pools on the minimap tracker, and since you need to fish in pools in Northrend to get the mount, it’ll be a huge help, if not invaluable.

Done your first step yet?

First thing to catch a turtle mount: Learn to fish (and cook)!

If you’re going to be fishing for the mount, you might as well learn to fish and cook while you do it. The mount itself drops from fishing pools in Northrend, so if all you’re doing is going for those, it’ll take you a little longer to level than just sitting in Stormwind and leveling fishing (which you can definitely do), but you might as well up your profession while you do it. El’s Angling is the guide of choice — follow it closely and you’ll be 450 Fishing/Cooking in no time.

Fishing in WOW

November 16th, 2009

You got to fish in order to get the turtle mount. That’s why, be patient, man. :)

If you just want to level fishing fast, you really don’t need a detailed guide! To improve your fishing skill, you simply need to catch something. And wherever you fish, you will always catch something. Even junk helps improve your skill. Read about some of the other ways to train fishing skill (earlier in this chapter) – you can gain a lot while you level.

There are lots of other methods which are almost as fast. For example, the fishing trainer in Dalaran (Marcia Chase) stands next to the Eventide Fountain, which you can fish from. This method has not been recommended because it is harder for low-level anglers to reach Dalaran (a portal or similar is required), and the fountain is already popular with anglers (so you will waste time accidently trying to reel-in another anglers’ bobber). But it might suit you. Very low-level Alliance anglers may find it easier to travel to Valiance Keep in Borean Tundra (via Stormwind), and spend a few seconds moving between the trainer and the sea. Or skill-up in a city, gaining a rested bonus while fishing.

Turtle Mount?

November 13th, 2009

Well well, in case some one feel like the turtle mounts in WOW looks cool, you should follow my blog post then.

Here , I gonna introduce to you the ways of getting the turtle mount. However, first of all, you need to learn how to fish first.

Don’t tell me you gonna train fishing by fishing … unless you want to spend a month in the same pool side. Follow me here!

1. You will need to be at least level 10, feeling the Wrath of the Lich King, with about 50 gold.
2. Buy a basic Fishing Pole. These are sold by many trade goods vendors and fishing suppliers.
3. Travel to Howling Fjord: Horde to Vengeance Landing, Alliance to Valgarde. At lower level, Horde travel by zeppelin (from Undercity), Alliance travel by boat (from Wetlands).
4. Find the fishing trainer. For Horde, Angelina Soren, on the docks next to the sea, with an umbrella. For Alliance, Byron Welwick (illustrated right), by the water, with an umbrella, behind the flight master. Learn Apprentice fishing.
5. Fish open water next to the fishing trainer. To learn about basic fishing techniques, please read Your First Catch.

Between the fishing skills below, learn a new rank from the trainer:
50-75: Journeyman.
125-150: Expert.
200-225: Artisan.
275-300: Master.
350-375: Grand Master.

And that’s it! Overall, half your catches will be junk items. But that does not matter, because every catch contributes to improving your skill. Both trainers in the Howling Fjord are next to water, and train all 6 ranks. So you won’t waste time moving :)

I love mounts :)

Mounts :) I love Mounts :)

They are a great thing. Mounts did not originate in WoW. Mounts have been in every rpg game since the nintendo 64 days, and even before that in the most common games such as zelda. To say “dont add mounts, this is not wow, stop trying to make it wow,” is a completely ignorant statement that has no logic/fact. Once again all you WoW nubs out there who are currently playing aion, wow did not invent mounts. Most people who reply with this silly statement are currently still paying their wow subscriptions. But to get back on point, Mounts are a must in any successful game.

Originally, I agreed that mounts where not needed due to wings. And when I say originally I mean in 2008, when I was digging up info for aion. When I jumped on the chineese beta, I found out quite quickly that mounts are a must, as all other games. You have a minute on your wings, up to lvl 30, where, if you have them, can equip a new pair that everyone received, via upgrade, which is no longer available, / pre-order. So for anyone who does not have lvl 30 wings, nor 40 wings, me, it is quite hard to even “fly,” as it was hyped up to be.

Now of course, I understand that they cannot let us perma fly but I’m just stating the facts. But, to go even further, and limit the fly capabilities to nearly nothing is just gone to far. For instance, I take off from eltnen, I cannot fly anywhere. If I want to go search for rifts its very difficult because of the massive ammounts of land you must WALK over, with an occasional use of the pathetic glide button. Other then that, you cannot fly anywhere. This goes for all of the cities. With that, I still walk around the desert in eltnen looking for rift locations slowly but surely, however annoying it is. Yes, for all the trolls who will spam “teleporter noob!”

Once you arrive at your teleporter location, which only goes in 2 areas, one going north one going south, the rest of the map is still all foot work, and as I said an occasional 10 second glide if your on high-ground, and do not hit a little hill during glide. If you actually think about how our wings work, it is very easy to confirm the decision to add mounts. It is just obvious common sense. There is only 2 ways to solve this problem. A: Increase flight path area. B: Make glide, glide as it does in the videos. And, my option C: add mounts like every other successful video game created on the plantet.

Racial Problem in AION

November 9th, 2009

I’m sticking around (actually quite happily in AION) , but I suggest you guys should cancel your children’s accounts in AION.

Why?

Because I am completely blown away by the amount of racially charged crap in the LFG chat. I don’t expect NCSoft to do anything about this. They are a gaming company. If Martin Luther King, Gandhi, and a whole host of other folk couldn’t get through to the haters, I certainly don’t expect the customer service rep from a video game company to succeed.

Maybe the games I’ve been playing don’t attract the same class of idiot that seems drawn to this game. But I have spent years in EQ2 and Vanguard without hearing anywhere near the volume of vitriolic crap that is spewed on my server every day.

Can anyone explain this to me? I’m at a total loss to even understand where this is coming from, unless NCSoft has been giving out coupons at KKK rallies and to White Power nuts in prison.

WHich to pick?

November 6th, 2009

Lvl 45 Stigma: Aether Armor = Increases your Magic Resist by 800 for 30 seconds. Instant Cast; 5 min Cooldown; 103 MP

Lvl 34 Stigma: Unwavering Devotion = Increases your Stun, Knock Back, Stumble, Spin, and Aether’s Hold Resists by 1000 for 1.5 minutes. Instant Cast; 3 min Cooldown; 79 MP

WHich one would you pick?

Well, if you ask me to pick for you, I will asked which to equip if you could only equip one. For me that means Aether Armor if you prefer PvP and UD if you prefer PvE. Not saying they’re not good in both scenarios, but I find UD more useful in PvE than in PvP. UD mostly works on melees in PvP and I’m rarely targetted by them. I’m much more likely to be blasted by casters, thus I prefer to have Aether Armor for PvP. Aether Armor for PvE is useful as well, but I find the short duration coupled with the long recharge time near useless for boss fights. 30 seconds might protect you from one or two spells, but the 5 minute cooldown is a bit long to wait for me. UD, on the other hand, can be up 50% of the time. UD is definately not a purely PvP skill. Many bosses have knock backs and stuns, and they are very hard to resist purely with Steel Wall. Personally I would slot both of these stigmas, but again that wasn’t the question being asked. If I only had the space to slot one, I would slot Armor for PvP and UD for PvE.

Who wins in 1Vs1 ?

November 4th, 2009

Well … You are gonna hardly kill a cleric 1 vs 1, not to mention a sorc or sm, it’s not impossible, but in that case wasn’t an equal fight for sure, someone was too bad, too good, undergeared or outleveled. We are great vs gladiators and assasins, melee classes (all games history)

Sigh  …. yesterday I almost killed a lv 36 assasin, i’m lv 29, sadly his buddy healed him. :(

And of course.. gear, we may be able to kill a naked sm. Kekeke …. Honestly, I already created my cleric toon, leveling it after temp. XD
